Early Stage Researchers

Alex Elíasson moved from his home in northern Iceland in 2012 to Odense, Denmark where he eventually started his education in pharmacy at the University of Southern Denmark in 2013, graduating with his M.Sc in pharmacy in January 2019. The summer of 2018 before his master thesis he went to Bayer Animal Health in Monheim am rhein for an internship that was in co-operation with his thesis that mainly focused on dissolution, permeation and solubility to studies of different solubility enhancing drug formulations of a poorly soluble proprietary drug compound for Bayer, he was lucky enough present a part of his master thesis results at Nordic POPs 2019 annual meeting in Oslo.

Now he has begun working on his PhD project at the University of Iceland through Orbital ITN in October 2019 the main focus of the project is Cyclodextrin nanotechnology as a tool for drug delivery to the posterior segments of the eye.
