Early Stage Researchers

Azza Dammak is a pharmacist from Tunisia. She got her PharmD from the faculty of Pharmacy of Monastir, Tunisia in 2017. Then, she obtained her master’s degree in biotechnology at the University of Paris Sud, France in 2018 and continued to specialize in pharmaceutical technology and formulation at the faculty of pharmacy of Grenoble Alpes, France. After her master’s degree, she worked as Junior pharmaceutical Development Scientist in AAA – Novartis Company. 

During her academic career, she did her internship in pharmaceutical industries, such as Pierre Fabre, Gattefossé, BMS UPSA. She interned in Research Units such as INSERM Paris, The Department of Medical Oncology and The Department of Ophthalmology in Military Hospital.   

Actually, she is doing her PhD in Madrid as part of Orbital ITN – Marie Curie Project H2020.

Projects:  

  • Internship Project (Department of Oncology – 2016): Mannitol 10 % for the prevention of Cisplatin – Induced Nephrotoxicity: comparison of concomitant Mannitol 10% administration with Cisplatin versus hydration alone. 
  • Thesis Project (Department of Ophthalmology – 2017): Comparative Study between Ranibizumab and Bevacizumab in the treatment of Age-Related Macular Degeneration: About 25 cases. 
  • Internship Project (INSERM – 2018): Characterization of recombinant fragments antibodies against a coagulation factor: productionpurification and characterization to target antigen. 
  • Internship Project (Gattefossé – 2019): In Vivo- In Vitro Correlation of Sustained Release matrices based on Compritol 888 ATO: The determining factors for Formulation.
